Services – Exclusions

EDUCATION

Exclusions
Although the numbers of exclusions from schools generally appear to be falling, the threat of exclusion or actual exclusion, are still a reality for many families. Assistance can be provided with regards to preventative action, as well as the procedure for both fixed term and permanent exclusions, if necessary. This can include help with preparation for and presentation at Governor meetings and at Independent Review Panel hearings. Guidance on the educational provision to be put in place following exclusion can also be given. In addition, advice on the application of the exclusions regime to SEN or disabled children/young people can be provided.
