Judicial Reviews
As an alternative to making a complaint to the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman, complainants may decide to seek a judicial review of a Local Authority’s action or inaction. Whether bringing or defending a claim in the High Court assistance can be provided with the Judicial Review Protocol and the subsequent procedure. Counsel will be instructed, as appropriate, to advise and to appear at any hearing. As mentioned elsewhere in this website however, we would be keen to assist you in resolving matters before they reach this stage and would therefore be happy to discuss any issues with you at the earliest opportunity.
